The Saint Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture is calling for an annual roundtable with government to ensure the business sector has a say in the formulation of policies affecting it. The Chamber for example has previously voiced concerns about not being properly consulted before the implementation of the Minimum Wage. During the Chamber’s 140th Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, the President raised broader issues surrounding the lack of consultation on the government’s fiscal policies. To address this, the President proposed a solution to ensure that the private sector is always included in future policy discussions.
