Businesses urged to sponsor DEOs

Minister of Home Affairs Wilfred Abrahams, is telling businesses to adopt District Emergency Organisations. Mr Abrahams says if corporate Barbados provides technical and other technical resources it will help strengthen the island's post-disaster response capability. He made the appeal while addressing the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry's and C&W's Business Disaster Recovery and Resilience Business Forum. Mr Abrahams is also asking businesses to establish disaster preparedness plans and keep refining them when necessary.
