BUT calls for urgent action
The early closure of schools in recent days has resulted in calls by the Barbados Union of Teachers for the situation to be urgently addressed. The latest, the Lester Vaughan School which closed early today due to "unforseen circumstances". BUT President Rudy Lovell says this is an issue which dates back for years. He says several environmental tests were done over the years but the issue still persists and the teachers continue to be ill. Mr. Lovell says they will be in support of teachers protecting their health and the ball is now in the Ministry's court.
