BWU & BHTA reach major agreement
Workers in the tourism sector will be benefitting from a major agreement between the Barbados Workers Union and the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association. They will be receiving an early Christmas gift, following three years of relentless negotiations spanning 2021 to 2024. That's because the Barbados Workers Union has secured a landmark deal, marking a significant victory for workers in hotels and other tourism-related businesses. Today, Deputy General Secretary and Director of Industrial Relations, Dwaine Paul says the agreement delivers critical benefits including wage increases, improved working conditions, and enhanced paternity leave provisions.
