Concerned that three workers received gunshot injuries in the space of one week, the Barbados Workers' Union is encouraging Barbadians to condemn these vicious acts. General Secretary Toni Moore says crime is a growing challenge in Barbados, and addressing it requires more than just outrage, action is also needed. Ms. Moore made the call through a statement to the media. Ms. Moore adds that the BWU is hoping for a full and speedy recovery of the worker injured in Sunday's shooting incident at Kirton's Gas Station, St. Philip, and also all who have been impacted by the act of violence.
