CALL FOR LEGISLATIVE ACTION: UPDATING LAWS TO PREVENT ANIMAL CRUELTY

World Animal Protection has called upon government especially the legislature to update the existing drafted old laws and regulations that look into preventing animal cruelty. According to Edith Kabessime, the wildlife campaign manager at World Animal Protection, these where drafted decades ago and have not been effective in the public. This was during an engagement with the parliamentary forum for conservation and sustainable Tourism in preparation of celebrations of the World Wildlife day.
