Call for more effort to protect women & girls

As the world marks International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women today, Barbados' Ambassador to the OAS is reporting that the scourge has intensified in different settings. Among the areas highlighted by Ambassador Victor Fernandes are workplace and online spaces. He says gender-based violence has also been exacerbated by conflict and climate change. His comments came during a Special Meeting of the Permanent Council of the OAS to observe the international day.
