A regional marketing agent is calling for Caribbean islands to have more cross-cultural exchanges. Jacqueline Louis, from the St. Maarten Tourism Bureau, says she is exploring how to create a lasting relationship with Barbados and share its tourism product. She says following talks with Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley, she now has a sense of hope in promoting her country's tourism product. Ms. Louis who is also Chief Executive Officer of Embrace Group, was speaking on the sidelines of Barbados' Reggae in the Gardens show at the National Botanical Gardens over the weekend. Ms. Louis says the show gave her team an opportunity to partner with promoters Ryan Brathwaite and Antonio Moore to highlight some of what her country has to offer. Ms. Louis adds she has already started discussions with Winair and InterCaribbean on packages to St. Maarten similar to Caribbean Airlines.
