Call for profile of care work to be raised

Care work and the care economy have been described as critical for the Americas region. Minister of Labour, Social Security and the Third Sector, Colin Jordan, on the second International Day of Care and Support, called for the profile of care work to be raised. The call came as the Minister participated in a webinar by the International Labour Conference. It was organised to mark International Day of Care and Support 2024 and focused on the recently adopted International Labour Conference Resolution concerning decent work and the care economy.
