Call for the creation of a online social network agency

The President of the Barbados Alliance to End Homelessness, Kemar Saffrey, is calling for the creation of a social network agency which will be fully online. He says this database or platform will allow key agencies and stakeholders involved in interventions for the homeless and displaced to readily access pertinent information. Mr. Saffrey was speaking during a Bridgetown Consultation on Homelessness, under the theme 'Bigger Better Inter-Agency on Homelessness', at the Radisson Aquatica. Mr. Saffrey tells stakeholders in some instances it is difficult to gain access to some offices when information is critical to making a decision. He says he built a similar platform about six years ago, but it was never used. He adds he supports the database in the form of an app as computers and WhatsApp are readily acceptable for business transactions today. However, he made it clear medical information is not needed, but rather services rendered to an individual, and notes the platform can be wider.
