Calypso afficionados weigh in on Cro Cro’s defamation case

The Mighty Cro Cro, Weston Rawlins, was taken to court for his 2023 song "Another Sat is Outside Again", and was ordered to pay $250,000 in compensation. Commenting on the ruling, legendary calypsonian Dr Hollis "Chalkdust" Liverpool made it clear that the law is the law. He added that calypsonians usually make their comments behind masks, but this situation was an exception. Another veteran calypsonian, Michael "Sugar Aloes" Osuna, also commented, along with culture and calypso author Zeno Obi Constance. Otto Carrington reports.
