Canada Post strike: Businesses, charities facing difficult Holiday season amid work stoppage
There appears to be no end in sight to the Canada Post strike. The union says it is “extremely disappointed” with the latest offer from the company, saying it has widened the gap in negotiations. The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) says it does not want to provide false hope to impacted employees and businesses. It’s been close to a month since the more than 55,000 Canada Post workers hit the picket lines. Canadian small businesses have been pushed to the brink, and charities are also feeling short-changed.
