Canadian Senate unanimously supports bill to end forced sterilization of Indigenous women

For years, Indigenous women in Canada have been calling attention to an issue that has traumatized them: forced or coerced sterilization. One might think the so-called medical practice is a vestige of the past — but it still happens in Canada, inflicted mostly upon Indigenous women.
