CBC’s Anmar Goodridge-Boyce wins Caribbean award

The Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation has copped another prestigious regional award of excellence. CBC sports reporter Anmar Goodridge-Boyce won the Caribbean Sports Media Award Saturday night, at the inaugural Caribbean Association of National Olympic Committees (CANOC) Awards Ceremony held in Turks and Caicos. Goodridge-Boyce was specially recognised for his significant contributions to sports journalism in the region.  He was one of three awardees for Barbados. The night's most prestigious honour, the Caribbean Lifetime Achievement Quadrennial Award, went to the former president of the Barbados Olympic Association and of CANOC, Steve Stoute, for his lifelong dedication to the development of sports in the Caribbean. Then, the Barbados Olympic Association received the Environmental Impact Reduction Award for minimising its environmental footprint.
