The Central Bank of Kenya has announced changes to its currency denominations, marking a significant update that includes signatures. The new KES 1,000 notes will be released first, followed by other denominations in the coming months. Meanwhile, the Central Bank of Kenya has reduced its benchmark lending rate by 25 basis points to 12.75 percent, reducing the cost of loans for the first time in four years.
