CCTV to be installed in crime hotspots

The Gauteng Government and a camera provider have announced a crime-busting partnership. Through it, the Gauteng Government will have immediate access to a network of over 6,000 Vumacam cameras in the province and more nationally. The partners have also committed to extending camera coverage to underserved areas like townships, settlements, and hostel areas.
