CDB taking a critical look at its future
The Caribbean Development Bank will be taking a critical look at its future direction as it seeks to remain relevant. This was revealed by Acting President Isaac Solomon. He was addressing the opening of the Bank's 54th Annual Meeting of its Board of Governors underway in Canada. Mr. Solomon notes the CDB began in 1969, when challenges like digital literacy, generative artificial intelligence and climate change were not on the development agenda. He has stressed the importance of member states and the Bank's developmental partners working together to achieve higher and sustained economic growth, and dentified a number of key areas which countries of the region must focus on.
