Cedros Fishermen Missing Since Saturday

Families of five fishermen from Cedros who went out missing on Saturday are holding out hope that they will return safely. Missing are 35 year old Davanand Seepaul, his father, 60 year old David Seepaul, 20 year old Shiva Seepersad, Alexander Gonzales Ali, and teenager Jeremiah Pasqual. The police said the group left Fullerton Beach, Cedros, in a boat named Amanda. The boat has also been reported missing. According to the families, the men are accustomed to going out in the Gulf of Paria and know the area. Family members have attempted to reach the men via cell phone but all calls are going straight to voice mail. Members of the Hunters Search and Rescue Team have joined other fishermen and the Coast Guard in the search for the missing men. The families also have people in Venezuela looking for the men.
