As an important joint construction project carried out by China and Peru under the Belt and Road Initiative, the new port will facilitate more convenient trade between China and Latin American countries, aligning with the growing demand for bilateral trade. "From Chancay to Shanghai" has not only become a popular phrase in Peru, but also a symbol of deepening China-Latin America cooperation.
