Chaotic scenes outside DNC as police arrest anti-Israel protesters

Numerous anti-Israel protesters have been arrested during the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday. Since the beginning of the DNC on Monday, pro-Palestine supporters have come out in the thousands to protest America’s support of Israel. On Tuesday, a large group of anti-Israel protesters clashed with Chicago law enforcement during a rally outside the Israeli Consulate. The consulate is located just over a mile from the DNC venue, where the agitators held speeches and burned Israeli and American flags. Chicago Police Superintendent Larry Snelling addressed the protest earlier on Tuesday. “Well, what I can tell you is you never know what to expect from a group like that, but what I can tell you is what I expect from our side, what I expect from our Chicago police officers, who are going to be responding to that,” he said.
