The victim, a chef known as Simpson, was fatally shot outside his workplace around 10:20 p.m. on Monday. Reports indicate that two unidentified assailants, who exited a white Toyota Axio, targeted Simpson just after he had finished work at a nearby hotel. Moments after 10 p.m., Simpson went to move his car while waiting for his spouse, and that's when the assailants shot him multiple times before fleeing the scene. Despite the unfortunate incident, the police assert that Negril remains a safe space, categorizing Simpson's death as a targeted hit. Simpson was promptly taken to the hospital but was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
