Chefs battle for place on national culinary team

The Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association (BHTA) is confident that Barbados will defend its Caribbean National Culinary Team of the Year title at the Taste of the Caribbean competition. Chief Executive Officer Ryan Forde says a solid management team has been put in place to mentor those chefs who will be participating in the competition in Miami this November. Today four chefs from the BHTA's membership participated in a pastry competition held at the Hilton Barbados. The winner of the competition will be a part of the Barbados National Culinary Team headed to Miami. Team Manager Executive Chef Adrian Cumberbatch says he is satisfied with the outcome of today's competition.
