Children murdered with mothers

Following on from those startling statistics, Sunday Guardian's lead story tracks the growing problem of children and their mothers being killed in domestic disputes in Trinidad and Tobago. CNC3 News profiled the murder of Tara Ramsaroop and her one-year-old Jada Motilal. They were killed at their Barrackpore home two months ago and the incident still haunts their family. Ramsaroop's common-law-husband Rishi Motilal has since been charged with the murders, which has done little to comfort relatives who continue to live with the grief of their loss. And as T&T commemorates 16 days of activism against gender-based violence, the story of their end remains a grim reminder of what happens when help does not come. Shane Superville has more.
