Chris Bowen grilled on Australia’s energy cost and reliability

Energy and Climate Change Minister Chris Bowen has been grilled on Australia’s energy cost and reliability. Sky News host Laura Jayes questioned Mr Bowen after heatwaves in New South Wales sparked concerns for Australia’s energy grid. “This is about what I’ve been saying for some time. The biggest threat to reliability in our energy system is coal-fired power stations, which aren’t getting any younger – like all of us, as they get older, they get that little bit less reliable every day,” Mr Bowen told Sky News Australia.
