Chris Dehring Appointed Cricket West Indies CEO
Cricket West Indies has announced the appointment of Chris Dehring as its new Chief Executive Officer. A seasoned leader with an exceptional background in finance, sports management, media, and telecommunications, Dehring was chosen from a competitive field of over fifty candidates spanning Europe, Asia, and the Caribbean. CWI President, Dr. Kishore Shallow, hailed Dehring as a transformative leader, calling his appointment "the dawn of an exciting new era" for West Indies cricket. Dehring’s extensive achievements include founding SportsMax, the Caribbean’s first sports television broadcaster, and serving as Managing Director of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007, where he delivered a groundbreaking tournament for the region. Returning to CWI with a vision to innovate and inspire, Dehring expressed his deep passion for West Indies cricket, promising to reignite the region's cricketing pride on the global stage. Chris Dehring officially takes up his new role on February 1st, 2025, at CWI's headquarters in Antigua.
