Chris Wright appointment the ‘nail in the coffin’ for US climate targets

Curtin University’s Dean of Global Futures Joe Siracusa warns the appointment of Chris Wright in Donald Trump’s upcoming administration is the “nail in the coffin” for America reaching its climate targets. US President-elect Donald Trump has named Chris Wright as United States Secretary of Energy and Member of the Council of National Energy. “The United States is checking out and in fact, that’s probably what G20 was all about,” Mr Siracusa told Sky News Australia. “America is out of the business along with a lot of other things with these appointments; climate change is gone, cancel culture is gone, defund the police is gone.”
