Christians gather for midnight mass in Bethlehem

Worshippers gathered in the West Bank town of Bethlehem in the early hours of Christmas morning while the war in nearby Gaza continues. Festivities are cancelled in the historical birthplace of Jesus this year and only religious rituals are taking place. The streets were not decorated and the tree outside the Church of the Nativity was not lit up.
