Civil servants to receive 4.7% salary increase

Government needs to cut down the public sector workforce. That's the word from Chief Economist at the Efficient Group, Dawie Roodt. He says government can not stabilise the fiscus and grow the economy with its bloated public sector wage bill. The Public Service Department says civil servants will receive a 4.7-percent salary hike from April.
