Closing arguments underway in former Hedley frontman's sexual assault trial

Defence lawyers for musician Jacob Hoggard suggested the woman accusing him of sexual assault concocted an ‘extravagant false story’ about their encounter to gain sympathy and hide her infidelity. The complainant, who was 19 at the time, said Hoggard raped, choked, hit and urinated on her, and called her names.
