COB donates $10k to Barbados Royals Girls Cricket Club

The Barbados Royals Girls Cricket Club has received a 10 thousand-dollar financial injection from the City of Bridgetown Co-operative Credit Union. The presentation was made at the club's training base at Friendship in St. Michael. Accepting the cheque were Chair of the Royals Girls Club, Dr. Sasha Sutherland, and its President Roland Butcher. The funds are expected to help the club advance its programmes in areas such as nutrition, after school academic activities and a planned, free, two-week summer camp. Marketing Manager at C.O.B Marcus Myers, says it's part and parcel of the credit unions' care programme. Global Ambassador for the Barbados Royals Girls Cricket Club, Hayley Matthews, says the input from corporate Barbados is vital.
