Colombia, one of the most biodiverse countries, is hosting the United Nations Biodiversity Conference, COP16, in Cali this year. We begin in the Llanos, a vast tropical grassland east of the Colombian Andes. It floods for four months of the year and is temporarily transformed into wetlands.
