‘Colossal’: Queen Elizabeth’s 1954 Australia tour ‘doesn’t happen anymore’

The late Queen Elizabeth’s infamous tour of Australia in 1954 was “colossal”, says former ITV royal editor Tim Ewart. His remarks come as King Charles and Queen Camilla are set to visit Australia from October 18 to October 23. “It doesn’t happen anymore,” Mr Ewart told Sky News Australia. “Things were very different back in those days.”
