Scores of residents from the Haynesville and The Pine communities will soon get the chance to further their education thanks to a collaboration between the Pinelands Creative Workshop and the Samuel Jackman Prescod Institute of Technology. It's called the Facilitating Inclusive Development in Communities Programme. It was launched Monday morning at the SJPI. Pinelands Creative Workshop CEO Sophia Greaves says the courses, which are set to begin on June 24, are tailored to give individuals a second chance to get their lives on track. While pleased to be associated with the programme, Principal Ian Drakes appealed to individuals to grasp the opportunity, which will be offered in the community.
