Community-based organisations key for cultural landscape

Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment Charles Griffith believes community-based organisations are absolutely necessary for the cultural landscape of Barbados. Mr. Griffith was speaking at a workshop held by his Ministry at the Radisson Hotel. He says these organisations are pivotal to society's survival as they can reach groups, such as at-risk youth, as well as bring elements to the community that are not there right now. Mr. Griffith has also encouraged the participants to take the information and relay it to their communities so there will be a constant transition of leaders.
