‘Competitive process’: Paul Fletcher shares thoughts on his successor

Manager of Opposition Business Paul Fletcher claims he will not express a view on his replacement for the seat of Bradfield and instead welcomes a “competitive process”. Mr Fletcher’s comments come after he announced on Tuesday he will not run for re-election in the upcoming federal election. “I want able people to come forward and the Liberal Party celebrates competition,” Mr Fletcher told Sky News Australia. “Bradfield is a great electorate … and it deserves a very high-quality representative, and I am confident that the Liberal Party will be able to offer a very high-quality representative.”
