Concerns climate change may impact scope of insurance coverage

There are fears the insurance industry in Barbados and in the region will change the nature of their coverage in the face of climate change. According to Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley this situation is occurring in Florida as many insurance companies narrow what they are prepared to accept as risks. She called attention to the matter during the launch of a new 100 million US dollar CARICOM Resilience Fund at the Hilton Hotel.
