Congo expects to receive mpox vaccines from US, Japan

The World Health Organization is calming concerns over the mpox outbreak, stressing that it is not the new COVID-19 and that health officials know how to control its spread. The agency stressed that the world must tackle mpox together, warning that how we respond to the virus will be a critical test for all countries. This comes as the Democratic Republic of Congo says it hopes to receive its first mpox vaccines from the US and Japan by next week, as case numbers continue to climb.
