Minister in the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Investment Senator Chad Blackman is urging constituents in the St. James North constituency to take full advantage of all opportunities presented, to make Barbados a world-class hub. Referring to work done through Member of Parliament for St. James North, Edmund Hinkson's Clarkson Foundation, Mr. Blackman says such programmes need to be replicated across the length and breadth of the island. He made the comments during his address at the constituency's annual general meeting held over the weekend. Mr. Blackman adds the St. James North Constituency is the beacon for where Barbados needs to go as a developing nation. However, he notes there are some challenges to overcome in the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl, and committed to creating a coastal community resilience programme to assist those on the coast to adapt to new realities. Meanwhile, Mr. Hinkson says the Government is doing its best to make Barbados resilient and called on citizens to play their part.
