It marks the official start of the tower pillars for this world-class bridge, which is part of the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port Liuheng Highways and Bridges project. Construction of the Shuangyumen Bridge is expected to be completed in 2027. After the bridge opens to traffic, it will effectively improve the traffic conditions on the southern islands of Zhoushan.
