Cost of living top of mind for Canadians in 2024, poll finds

The cost of living has been a pressing issue for Canadians for years and according to a new Ipsos poll conducted exclusively for Global News, it was also the top news story of 2024. The survey found 71 per cent of people thought it was the top domestic story for 2024, with homelessness and the Canada Post strike in second and third place.
