‘Costs are enormous’: Issue with nuclear power is the ‘very high cost’

University of New South Wales Scientia Professor Martin Green says the issue with nuclear energy is the “very high cost”. “If you look at recent experience in countries like the UK, France or Finland … you’ll see the costs are just enormous,” Mr Green told Sky News Australia. “Solar is definitely several times cheaper combined with wind generators and storage in the form of batteries or pumped hydro.”
