Crime in SA | Commuters prevented from using e-hailing services

The KwaZulu-Natal Transport Department has warned taxi operators from taking the law into their own hands as they face stiff competition from e-hailing services. There have also been incidents of minibus drivers preventing passengers from boarding e-hailing vehicles in Gauteng. Some commuters even claim taxi operators are preventing them from using carpools and lift clubs. Sfiso Shangase the spokesperson for Santaco in KZN discussed this with eNCA.
