Crop Over 2024 to officially launch in the City

The three Squares in Bridgetown will come alive this Saturday as Crop Over will be officially launched in the City. The Digicel Ceremonial Delivery of the Last Canes and 50th Anniversary Tent was shifted to Golden Square Freedom Park, Independence Square and National Heroes Square after the National Botanical Gardens was deemed too wet following recent rains from a tropical wave and Hurricane Beryl. Chief Executive Officer of the National Cultural Foundation, Carol Roberts, made the disclosure this morning in Golden Square Freedom Park as workmen were busy preparing. The wet conditions have also forced the NCF to find a new venue for Sunday's Scotiabank Junior Monarch semi-finals.
