Cybersecurity risks loom ahead of the US election
SentinelOne Chief Intelligence Officer Chris Krebs claims China, Russia and Iran have already made "efforts" to interfere with the 2024 US election. China, Russia and Iran have already tried interfering with the 2024 US presidential election, and as we get closer to polling day, the threat of disinformation and meddling will escalate. "Already seen this election cycle, we've seen Chinese, Russian and Iranian efforts of influence and interfere with the US election," Mr Krebs said. "2016 was really the breakthrough moment for interference in US elections, and that was when, of course, Russians tried to hack into certain election systems, hacked into political campaigns and then they really kicked off this social media disinformation operation at scale."
