Cyclone Megan upgraded to category three ahead of expected landfall in the NT

Residents in remote parts of the Northern Territory have been told to consider relocating as Tropical Cyclone Megan crawls southwards through the Gulf of Carpentaria. The tropical cyclone has now been upgraded to a category three storm. The system is producing wind gusts of up to 185km an hour and heavy rainfall. A dangerous storm tide is likely between Nathan River and the NT-Queensland border.
