‘Dangerous slippery slope’: Chris Minns slammed for proposing stricter hate speech laws

Sky News contributor Evelyn Rae criticises New South Wales Premier Chris Minns for proposing tougher laws on hate speech in the state. “We are constantly looking for these short-term comforts and short-term securities, we are missing out on these long-term freedoms which are going to keep us safer,” Ms Rae said. “We have laws for actual crimes. What we’re doing here is we’re trying to police speech … that’s a very, very dangerous slippery slope.”
