David Crisafulli ‘skated’ on the edge of abortion discussion

Former Queensland premier Campbell Newman has urged if David Crisafulli had shared the LNP’s stance on abortion earlier in the election campaign, women voters wouldn’t have been “hurt so much”. It has been reported the opposition leader failed 132 times to answer questions about a woman’s right to choose in recent press conferences leading up to the state election. “David Crisafulli skated very close to the edge on the abortion issue earlier in the debate and then finally … he went ‘yes’, he does support a women’s right to choose,” Mr Newman told Sky News host Sharri Markson. “Now, if he had said that a week ago or two weeks ago, perhaps they wouldn’t have been hurt so much.”
