Daylight saving to begin in some states

Daylight saving begins in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and the ACT on Sunday at 2 am. Residents in those states will lose an hour of sleep but will gain later sunsets in the lead-up to summer. Business leaders in Queensland have renewed calls for the state to introduce daylight saving ahead of the 2032 Olympics. New research shows most Queenslanders support having an extra hour of sunshine.
