Catherine Tait, the outgoing president of CBC/Radio-Canada, was called to testify before a parliamentary committee about $18 million in bonuses the public broadcaster shelled out to executives for the last fiscal year — while it slashed 346 jobs by laying off 141 employees and eliminating 205 vacant positions.
