Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y. on Wednesday took aim at Republican lawmakers over a debate about who should use Capitol Hill bathrooms. Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., this week proposed a resolution to penalize those who use Capitol restrooms “other than those corresponding to the biological sex of such an individual.” The resolution comes ahead of Rep.-elect Sarah McBride, D-Del., being sworn in next year as the first openly transgender member of Congress.
